The majority of our food comes from Wales and is grown, reared or made following either organic or biodynamic practices.
We present these ingredients in a modern way, while also paying respect to our culinary heritage.
Flavours that we focus on try to convey our unique landscape. We are particularly driven by showcasing the wild food of our country. We choose to highlight what we believe is the essence of Wales - our incredible wild game, fish, shellfish, seaweeds and coastal vegetables.
We work closely with fishermen, growers and farmers and they dictate what goes on the menu each week.
At Gorse we are offering the choice of either a four course, seven course or our signature menu at lunch (from June) priced at £60, £95 and £135 respectively. We serve lunch Thursday-Saturday. In the evening (Wednesday - Saturday) we offer our signature dinner menu priced at £125. The price of our signature menu will increase to £135 from 1st June 2026.
Bookings are open three months in advance and are released on the 1st of each month at 11.00.
We cater for certain dietary requirements and allergies with notice, but please be aware that we do not offer a vegan, dairy free or no egg menu at either lunch or dinner. Please list any other dietary requirement at the point of booking, failure to do so may mean that we will be unable to accommodate any requests on the day.
We take a £25 per person deposit for our four course menu, a £35 deposit for our seven course menu and a £50 deposit for our signature menu. If you have a voucher and would like to use this to hold against your deposit, please get in touch via hello@gorserestaurant.co.uk in the first instance. Please note that we are unable to issue a refund for any deposits taken for our tasting menu reservations when cancelled within 72 hours prior to the booking. All refunds will be issued minus a small card transaction fee. If you need to cancel within 72 hours of your reservation, please contact us directly through hello@gorserestaurant.co.uk.
