All of our reservations are available on a first come, first serve basis. We are a small, intimate restaurant and therefore our tables are only available for up to a maximum of six guests, with a limit of one booking per service. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate large groups and parties and are not able to split larger groups across multiple tables.

Modern Welsh

We cook with the best ingredients that Wales has to offer, at the peak of their deliciousness. We work with a talented network of Welsh growers, artists, potters, farmers and fishermen. We take all of this and try to create an experience that is uniquely Welsh, an experience that showcases our time and place, a snapshot of our little part of the world. We are respectful of our culinary heritage, but we’re also not afraid to reimagine it through a modern lens. You won’t find rarebit or cawl on our menus. But you will certainly nearly always find lamb, Welsh farmhouse cheeses, cockles, leeks and seaweeds.

Sustainability

Sustainability is extremely important to us. We offer a short choice menu at lunch and set menus at dinner in order to eliminate food waste. We work with a tight circle of Welsh growers, farmers, fishermen and local artisans who supply us with the vast majority of materials we use at Gorse. We also work with suppliers in the wider UK, but do not use imported fruit, vegetables, meat or fish.

Dietary Requirements

We strive to make Gorse as inclusive as possible. We accommodate for all dietary requirements and allergies with notice. Please make us aware of any requirements upon booking or at latest 48 hours before you dine with us.

Cancellation Policy

All guests are required to provide card details to secure a reservation. We do not take pre-payment for our lunch menu. We take a £35 deposit for our seven course menu and a £50 deposit for our ten course menu. Please note that we are unable to issue a refund for any deposits taken for our tasting menu reservations when cancelled within 72 hours prior to the booking. If you need to cancel within 72 hours of your reservation, please contact us directly through hello@gorserestaurant.co.uk.

Dress Code

We don’t have a dress code at Gorse. Please feel free to wear whatever makes you most comfortable.

Children Policy

We will gladly cater for children over the age of six. Please be aware, however, that we don’t offer a children’s menu. As we have a small dining room, we are sadly unable to accommodate pushchairs.

Opening Hours

We operate the following booking time slots.

Lunch: Tuesday to Saturday 12.00 - 14.00

Dinner: Tuesday to Saturday 18.30 - 20.30
